The Kenya U23 women national volleyball team Catherine Mabwi has named her final team that will represent the country in the coming Africa U23 championships that will be held at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani starting Sunday 23 October.
The championships will serve as qualifiers for the U23 World Championships set for Slovenia in 2017.
Pauline Wafula of KCB will be the team’s skipper in the tournament, leading a team dominated by players from National Volleyball League champions Pipeline.
Left attacker Esther Nanjala and right attacker Leah Akumu have pulled out of the team, citing other commitments.
Six countries will be taking part; Kenya, Rwanda, Botswana, Egypt, Tunisia and Senegal.
