All roads will be heading to Eldoret this weekend with the seventh edition of the 2016 Kenya National Rally Championships (KNRC) scheduled to on Saturday 8 October at the heart of Uasin Gishu County.
The Eldoret edition comes hot in the heels of the sixth edition held in Nanyuki in August and with the drivers traversing two counties, it is expected to be more adventurous and exciting than previous editions.
The rally will be flagged off outside the KCB Eldoret Branch with the final stage set for Elgeyo Marakwet in Moiben, and the prize giving ceremony in Iten.
An expected 40 drivers are set to grace the edition with some coming from Kenya and neighbouring countries as well as from as far as Europe. Finnish driver Tapio Laukannen, who won the Nanyuki edition, is a confirmed attendee for the Eldoret Rally as well as UK based Manvir Bryan.
Ian Duncan and Baldev Chagger are some of the Kenyan drivers who will be gracing the event while Ugandans Hassan Alwi and Duncan Mubiru will also feature.
The eighth of the 2016 series will be held in Guru Nanak on Saturday 26 November.
