Posta Rangers head coach Zedekiah Otieno is hoping to tie down on loan Gor Mahia striker Timothy Otieno beyond the current league campaign.
Otieno joined the Mail- Men at the start of the season from the KPL champions on a season long loan deal and has been impressive for the KPL newbies; he is the club’s top scorer in all competitions. He will be a free agent at the end of the season when his current deal with Gor Mahia expires and Zico says he hopes the player will remain with the club.
“Otieno is a player any KPL coach would love to have in his team. At the end of the season we will engage him in talks, give him our offer for consideration. If he agrees to remain with us well and good if not then we will look for other options,” he said.
Otieno, an alumnus of Kakamega High School joined Gor Mahia in June 2014 from FC Talanta on an initial loan deal before making the deal permanent in January 2015 signing a two-year contract with the KPL giants.
After featuring in a handful of matches in 2015 under coach Frank Nuttal, he opted to move to Rangers in search of more game time.
