The deal has been described as the most lucrative venture for the club. The club will now be donning Sportpesa branded jersey both in their home and away matches for the next three seasons.
Simon King, commercial manager at Hull City Tigers lauded Sportpesa for partnering with the club terming the deal as a mouth-watering venture that will turn around the clubs fortunes.
The ten million pounds deal is by far the largest in the club’s history and a move designed to haul the club to another great level of success and become a household name in Europe.
“This is a big milestone for SportPesa as it marks the scaling of a Kenyan brand into the global
market. The SportPesa platform will now be available in the United Kingdom and later in the year present in several African countries. One year from now we will have presence in at least four continents,” said SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri.
To reciprocate the gesture, King announced that the club will play in Kenya at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
“Again we picked Hull City because we were looking for a club that shares the same values as SportPesa and is growing. Most have long term shirt deals, but when we found Hull it worked for us,” added Karauri.
