Paris St-Germain set to axe manager Laurent Blanc.

The French boss signed a two-year contract extension with the Ligue 1 champions in February worth £3.45m-per-year but his departure is now imminent.

Blanc, 50, replaced Carlo Ancelotti in June 2013 and guided PSG to their second successive domestic treble last season.

However, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi described their season as a ‘failure’ because they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League to Manchester City.

Bernes told French radio station Europe 1: “Before the end of the week, PSG and Laurent Blanc will be separated.

“We’re in discussions with PSG directors and it’s being done in an excellent atmosphere from both sides.”

Unai Emery, who resigned as Sevilla manager last week, has been heavily linked with the position
