Gor mahia Bite The Dust In Madagascar

Spread the love

Gor Mahia’s  hopes of sailing to the next round of the  2016 CAF Champions league ended after they were knocked out of the  lucrative competition by Madagascar’s C-Naps by succumbing to a
1-0 defeat.

K’ogalo have been bundled out on a 1-3  goal aggregate difference. In Antananarivo’s Stade Rabemanajara, Mahajanga stadium, a  28th minute goal by Njiva Rakotoharimalala  was enough to give the home team a ticket to sail to the next stage of the competition on a 3-1 aggregate win. The Kenyan champions had lost 2-1 in the first leg played in Nairobi two weeks ago.

A depleted Gor Mahia missed their  former lethal striker Michael Olunga,Meddie Kagere, Ali Abondo and Collins Gatusso who could  have made massive difference in their squad.

Head coach Frank Nuttal  will have a case to answer when he returns back as fans  would demand to know  why he preferred the lucklustrevJerim Onyango between the posts instead of regular Keeper  Bonface Oluoch who had no injury.

The scottish also benched Khalid Aucho and new signing Jacob Keli who was later introduced in the game  for Ernest Wendo. With this result, K’Ogalo has failed  to prove their superb league
performance in 2015 where they lifted the title unbeaten. It is worse than the last two years where they managed to reach the first round notably eliminating C-Naps at the preliminary stage in 2015 edition.
