Real Madrid welcome Las Palmas – promoted to La Liga last season for the first time since 2000-01 – to the Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon and it will be the first time the Portuguese forward has lined up against them.
Since he joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, Ronaldo has tormented opposition defenders, scoring against all 29 teams he has faced.
Ronaldo is Real’s record goalscorer and his total haul features 233 strikes in the Spanish top flight and the 30-year-old will be keen to add to that tally against the Canary Islanders.
Madrid-based Spanish daily sports newspaper Marca lay bare Ronaldo’s incredible La Liga feats on the from page of Saturday’s edition.
Ronaldo’s favourite opposition is Sevilla having scored an incredible 19 goals against them in just six seasons, while he has netted 18 against Getafe.
Next come Athletic Bilbao and Malaga (14) with Espanyol (12) close behind. Ronaldo has scored seven times against Barcelona and eight against local rivals Atletico Madrid.
Ronaldo has scored seven La Liga goals this season in the opening nine games, although five of those came in a single match against Espanyol in September.
