Croat tactician returns to the den after going AWOL since Wednesday and will be available for ‘Mashemeji derby’ against Gor Mahia on Sunday
Zdravko Logarusic has officially returned to AFC Leopards camp to perform his duties as the head coach. The Croat went missing from the den on Wednesday citing unpaid allowances and salary.
However, a source in the camp has revealed that the tactician arrived in a jovial mood to conduct training session ahead of next weekend’s derby against fierce rivals Gor Mahia.
“Loga (Logarusic) has reported back, he is ready to conduct training session with us. Everyone is happy to see him back; putting in mind we have a derby next weekend. Players have welcomed him back, and we are ready to go.
“Against Thika United we missed him a lot, however we cannot have control of some situations, it is upon us to try and thrive in our remaining matches.” According to assistant Secretary General Asava Kadima, the management met with the former K’ogalo coach on Monday and agreed on payment issues before he accepted to resume.
“The team is currently facing serious financial problems, but we met and agreed that he will be paid in bits. Unfortunately that is what we can offer with our current situation, he has accepted to bear with us and give his all.
“We also talked with the players and relayed the same message to them, now we can work in harmony as we ponder our next move to secure sponsorship.”
